Training Course 4: Design and Implementation of Non-structural Components in Hospitals due to Seismic Considerations
The fourth training course entitled ” Design and Implementation of Non-structural Components in Hospitals due to Seismic Considerations” was held to introduce the nonstructural components in hospitals and healthcare facilities as well as existing challenges in the design and implementation of electrical and mechanical facilities in hospital buildings due to seismic considerations. The audiences were generally electrical and mechanical engineers, and the event was held in a collaboration with the “Executing Organization of Public Buildings and Facilities” for two half-days on May 30th and 31st, 2022.
The topics discussed in this course includes:
- Introduction and classification of non-structural components in hospitals
- Existing Regulations and Codes in Design and Implementation of Hospital Facilities
- Functional Reinforcement in Hospitals’ Equipment
- Seismic Considerations in The Design and Implementation of Mechanical Facilities in Hospitals
- Medical Gas System Design According to Seismic Considerations
45 participants attended the course in person, on May 30th and 31st, 2022.
