Ayatollah Tabarsi Hospital in Sari is being retrofitted in cooperation with UN-Habitat Tehran Office

Ali Nabian, the Deputy Minister of Roads and Urban Development (MRUD) and the CEO of the Executive Organization of Government and Public Buildings and Infrastructures (EOGPBI), in an interview with the MRUD news, gave explanations about the retrofitting program of some hospitals in cooperation with UN-Habitat and said: “The EOGPBI and UN-HABITAT have signed an Agreement of Cooperation (AoC) for the retrofitting of hospitals, according to which a comprehensive study will be conducted for more than 4,000 hospital beds”.

The Deputy Minister of Roads and Urban Development continued: “It has been agreed with the UN-Habitat that after seismic vulnerability assessment of the structural elements in 11 hospitals, a constructional role model in non-structural components will be carried out for one hospital.

Currently, the Ayatollah Tabarsi Hospital in Sari, with 369 hospital beds, is on the agenda of the retrofitting program.
