Honourable Minister,

I have the honour to congratulate you on your appointment as the new Minister for Roads and Urban Development of the Islamic Republic of Iran and wish you all possible success in your new role.

I very much appreciate the support of your Ministry to UN-Habitat’s work, specifically under the existing MoU and with respect to the active joint project Emergency Support to Safer Hospitals and Settlements and the two proposal projects in final stage of approval for implementation in the Islamic Republic of Iran.

I look forward to working closely with you in developing a roadmap and a country program for a long-term engagement with your Ministry, to strengthen our existing cooperation and facilitate further mobilization of technical and financial resources.

Honorable Minister, we both see sustainable urbanization as an opportunity for sustainable development, and I am looking forward to a stronger partnership with the Islamic Republic of Iran under your guidance and leadership.
