The United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) presents its compliments to the Permanent Mission of the Islamic Republic of Iran to UNHabitat and has the honour to convey its condolences to the family, the Government and the people of Iran following the demise of Honourable Rostam Ghasemi, former Minister of Ministry of Roads and Urban Development of the Islamic Republic of Iran, on 8 December 2022.

The late Honourable Ghasemi will be fondly remembered for his dedication and service in leading the Ministry to build stronger partnership with UN-Habitat towards a better urban future in the Islamic Republic of Iran.

May his soul rest in eternal peace.
